Boiled nettles with garlic and mayonnaise.
Stinging nettle has a flavour similar to spinach when cooked (which I dislike!) and is rich in vitamins A, C, iron, potassium, manganese, and calcium. Soaking nettles in water or cooking will remove the stinging chemicals from the plant, which allows them to be handled and eaten without incidence of stinging.
Myths about health and wealth
Nettles kept in a room will protect anyone inside. (This may have arisen from common knowledge of the tremendous amount of nutrients nettles offer, making them a powerful plant in that sense.)
Nettles in a pocket will keep a person safe from lightning and bestow courage.
Nettle is used in shampoo to control dandruff and is said to make hair more glossy.
