Isn't it ironic when the more you want to forget something ,the more you'll remember with all the details? And when you want to remember something, for an exam for example... the more you want, the less you'll remember! I wish I had a "delete" button so I can erase things I don't want to remember. It will make a lot of free space in my brain, space needed for other important stuff. Like kinders brain: a lot of free space and acting like a sponge - every information finds its place there. That's why I like working with children: they learn fast and remember quickly. Paying attention is their big problem - but not for me. After almost 7 years of working with children I've learnt how to make them "all eyes and ears" .
So why don't we have a delete button? Because every time we would hit that button, it won't delete anything. It will just make us remember better the thing we want to delete.
Then, what's the key in forgetting something (except bumping our head or Alzheimer)? I wish I had the answer...

Yes, I promised to write something today but I forgot what I wanted to write. As I said , yesterday was me and my father's name day. I used to hate my middle name (that's why few people -close friends and ex classmates- know that I have two names). My parents wanted so much a son that when I was born as the second daughter they decided to name me after my father. Every year on 7th January we used to celebrate me and my father's name day. We used to have a party and my father was so happy... while I was hiding my middle name.
Nothing will be the same without my father. Yesterday was the first time when 7th January was a sad day and we didn't celebrate. Now I'm proud that I was named after my father.
Anyway... I got some roses...

This year I won't write a letter to Santa. Instead I'll write a letter to my dad (although you,dad, were always our Santa). I want to write all those things I couldn't say to you face to face because I didn't have the courage. Now I feel so bad about that.
Dear dad, I am sorry for all those times when I made you sad or mad, for all those times when I disappointed you, I am sorry for all those bad words I said, I am sorry for being a selfish daughter but most of all I am sorry for not telling you how much I love you. Since I was very little we had this tradition - no Christmas without a Christmas tree.
This year we have a Christmas tree in a pot. He is short but brave and pungent! After New Years Eve, in March probably he will be moved and planted next to my father`s grave.

First four weeks after becoming a blonde:
You finally decide to dye your hair and make a radical change of your hair color - from brown/brunette to blonde. You've always thought about how is like being a blonde but you've never had the guts to dye your hair until now.
This is what is like:
The first week:
Your hair looks fantastic! It shines, it is soft, it is ...pure gold! You just wake up in the morning to take a look in the mirror and to admire your hair. And while you do that, you are thinking "Why on Earth didn't I do this earlier???" You have a big smile on your face when lots of guys are turning their heads on the street to admire you. You admire yourself in every glass you meet in your way - you even start to look for mirrors and glasses just to sneak a peek at that blonde girl. You are feeling amazing! That's the kind of feeling the blond hair gives you!
The second week:
You still wake up in the morning and admire yourself and your blonde hair in the mirror. Than you see the black roots. Just a little, but they are already there. Either way, your hair is still beautiful and still shinning. Being a blonde is fantastic!
The third week:
Those black roots are starting to annoy you when you see them in the mirror. They make your blonde hair look less brighter. You are starting to arrange your hair different, just to cover the black roots. Now there is a pale smile on your face...
The fourth week:
You already hate those black roots and you hate seeing yourself in the mirror. You ask yourself "Why on Earth did you dye your hair like this??? Bad, bad idea!" Now your hair has two colors: black and blonde.
After a few days of real torture you decide to dye your black roots. After, you will have again that amazing feeling of being a blonde girl! And it's like a drug!

How I learnt to cook...

When I married I did not know to cook. (except omelet and...tea :) ). We moved alone, just the two of us so we had only two options: die starving or die trying. I had to learn. First I made instant soup but this didn't work too long. So I picked up the phone and called my mother (luckily I knew the name of the food (dish) she is cooks) and I said: " I want to cook X today. What do I need ?" And she told me the ingredients. I ran to the market, buy all the stuff and called her again. Step by step she told me how to mix all that stuff and in which order. I took notes and...TA DA! Lunch/dinner is ready, baby! (unfortunately, we always skip breakfast). I am a quick learner but in case of something (~~like memory problems due to my age~~) I keep some of the recipes on a wall. I am famous for my special spaghetti recipe (see the picture below).

After two years of cooking (helped by phone at the beginning ) now I am not afraid anymore of cooking or new recipes and I even invent some or modify the ingredients as I like to.

P.S.: no one was injured, nobody died from my food and nobody puked. And I manage not to burn anything!

P.S. 2: I think it's in my DNA from my mother (she's the chief!)

I enjoy horror movies and I like to watch them in the evening or late night. I am scared a little but next day I am ok. Did you see those scenes in the shower? 1. Exfoliate
Your lips need to be exfoliated, just like your face. This is one of the very first, most important rules to follow. It can be done with a brush with soft bristles (a toothbrush will do the trick). Dead cells on lips will make them chap and peel, not letting the lipstick to stay for long as they shed off when you apply lipstick on them.

2. Lip Liner
Lip liner is made of a dry material and it will not let your lipstick smudge or come out of the lip area. However, I have personally never used it solely as a “lipliner”. The only way I use lip liner is: line the lips, fill in the lip area completely with the lipliner, apply the lipstick. This is so that when your lipstick does fade a little, there is never a lipliner-line visible! (one of my MU pet peeves!)

3. Blot and Reapply
First, apply your lipstick. Blot the first layer of your lipstick by using a tissue. This will take off extra lipstick particles. Then apply another layer.

4. Foundation or Powder
Powder or foundation on your lips before applying lipstick also helps the lipstick stay on longer. Both induce dryness into your lips which balances lipstick oil and prevents it from smudging and helps hold the colour in place.

Today one of my kids asked me in what year I was born. I told her I was born in 1984 and she said she was born in 2000. I asked her how many years are between us and she took a pencil and a piece of paper to do the maths. After a while she answered: 116 years. OMG! I am THAT old???
